Baby Caterpillar Book | Read-a-Sing-along

In our family...all the babies HATE car rides. WITH A PASSION. And we've tried everything. Pacifiers, toys, alllll the different kinds of music, talking, food, shaking the carseat... and finally we were so desperate, we started singing the Baby Caterpillar Song. It's a cute little song that I wrote for my oldest daughter when she was little, AND IT WORKS. The crying stops in seconds. The only down side, is that you may be stuck singing this little song on repeat for the duration of your ride...or at least until they fall asleep. 

When my next child came along, I asked my husband's aunt to illustrate the song for us so we could turn it into a book. With her charming illustrations, she brought the song to life. This read-a-sing-a-long book is short, but beautifully illustrated. The song is simple to learn, and the repetitive tune appeals to babies (probably because it quickly becomes a tune they recognize).
